Spectra of NGC 3783
- UV - 1992 IUE Campaign
- Data: GEX-extracted IUE data from 1993 campaign
[complete set (.tar.gz)
2441kB, 201 spectra]
[Select individual spectra ]
- References: Reichert et al. 1994, ApJ, 425, 582
[Abstract]
- Format of Data: ASCII (plain text) format multiple-column
tables with 2-line header:
- Column 1: Wavelength (Å)
- Column 2: Flux in ergs s-1
cm-2 Å-1
- Column 3: Uncertainty in flux, same units
The file containing the complete set is a compressed (with gzip)
tar file that must be unpacked.
- Additional Notes: Names of spectra contain SWP image
number (see Table 1 of Reichert et al.).
- UV - 1992 HST Spectrum
- Data: HST FOS from 1992
[FOS spectrum in FITS format]
- References: Reichert et al. 1994, ApJ, 425, 582
[Abstract]
- Format of Data:
FITS format one-dimensional spectra.
Spectrum is in
ergs s-1 cm-2 Å-1 versus
wavelength (Å).
- Additional Notes: see also Alloin et al. (1995, A&A,
293, 293) [Abstract]
- Optical spectra from 1992
- Data: Original optical spectra from several sources.
The data set is currently incomplete, but contains all
of the CTIO spectra.
[complete set (.tar.gz)
297kB, 59 spectra]

[Abstract]
- Format of Data: FITS format one-dimensional images.
The file containing the complete set is a compressed (with gzip)
tar file that must be unpacked.
- Additional Notes: File names are n3xxxxy.fits,
where xxxx = four least significant figures in the Julian Date,
y is a code that indicates the origin of the data (see Table 1
of Stirpe et al.). Data are
inhomogeneous, but should be readable with iraf task rfits.
- Scaled optical spectra from 1992
- Data: Scaled optical spectra from several sources.
The data set is complete and contains all the spectra
used to produce the light curves in Stirpe et al. (1994).
The spectra have been scaled with the van Groningen &
Wanders (1992, PASP, 104, 700) algorithm.
[complete set (.tar.gz)
965kB, 84 spectra]

[Abstract]
- Format of Data: Two-column ASCII format, first
column is wavelength (Å) and second column is
flux in ergs s-1 cm-2 Å-1.
The file containing the complete set is a compressed (with gzip)
tar file that must be unpacked.
- Additional Notes: File names are n3xxxxy.dat,
where xxxx = four least significant figures in the Julian Date,
y is a code that indicates the origin of the data (see Table 1
of Stirpe et al.). Data are
inhomogeneous, but on a consistent flux scale in the vicinity
of the [O III] 5007 line.
