Textbook: Goldenfeld, Lectures on Phase Transitions and the Renormalization Group

Lectures: Derby Hall 60 (1st hour) and 47 (2nd hour)
MW 10:30am--12:18pm

Problem sessions: on Friday (at a time and place to be arranged)

Exams: None
Homework:
Problem sets will be assigned each week and due at the beginning of class on Monday.
The assigned problems will be posted on the course home page. (You are reading the course info page).
You are encouraged to work together to solve problems, but your solutions should be written up independently.

Grading:
The grading will be based completely on assigned homework problems from Goldenfeld.
The thresholds for A- (and B-) will be completing 50% (and 25%) of the parts (labelled a, b, ...) of the problems (labelled 1,2, ...) that are assigned.
