A research assistantship is available for a currently enrolled Statistics graduate student who has completed at least the first qualifying exam. The project includes statistical analysis and methodology development for a cross-disciplinary application in Materials Science. Interested students should contact me regarding timelines and a possible reading course.
Inference for dynamical systems models and uncertainty quantification are sought after skills in industry and academia. There are exciting applications in a variety of disciplines and many interesting open questions to explore. I encourage current graduate students to consider a reading course in this area, which will be useful regardless of your chosen future direction.
