Assignment (1): Simple Structures and Motion
Value: 30 out of 100 course points
Due Date:
Proposal -
Animation - Oct 5, beginning of class
Use polygon modeling techniques to build a simple structure. Animate to show how it works. Use colors and simple textures to differentiate between elements.
Students are free to choose a subject which matches their research interests. Suggested references are vintage Fischer Price toys. They offer simple geometric structures, which would be suitable for basic texturing, and have an interesting combination of motions which will work well with hierarchy. You could choose to model a specific toy, or ideally, use your imagination to create something new.
