Type locality: Abbeville District, South Carolina.
Range: Savannah and Edisto River systems.
Remarks: This species is intermediate between the Crassidens Group and the Complanata Group. I have placed it with the former due to its similarity to incrassata and monroensis. It also possesses the wrinkles on the posterior slope characteristic of the Crassidens Group. It is the most northerly of the Group on the Atlantic Coastal Plain.
