A HIGH RESOLUTION STUDY OF THREE TOP INTERNAL ROTORS: THE MICROWAVE SPECTRA OF TRIMETHYLSILANE,(CH3)3SiH, TRIMETHYLSILYLACETYLENE, (CH3)3SiCequivCH, and TRIMETHYLSILYLDIACETYLENE, (CH3)3SiCequivC-CequivCH.

The microwave spectra of (CH3)3SiH, (CH3)3SiCequivCH, and (CH3)3SiCequivC-CequivCH, as well as some of their Si isotopomers have been studied with FTMW spectroscopy. (CH3)3SiCequivC-CequivCH was generated by passing a jet, consisting of a 1% one to one mixture of (CH3)3SiCequivCH and acetylene in an argon carrier gas, through a 900 volt discharge. The internal rotational splitting of (CH3)3SiH and (CH3)3SiCequivCH have been observed.
