Schwinger-Dyson = Wheeler-Dewitt

Gilad Lifschytz, (Princeton)

Abstract

In the last few years new connections between gauge theories and gravity, known as ADS/CFT correspondence, have been found. The gauge theory ``lives'' in one less large dimension than the corresponding gravity theory. In this talk we identify the gravity Hamiltonian associated with the extra dimension with the Schwinger-Dyson operator of the gauge theory. Using this we construct a set of gauge theory operators that encode the existence of the extra large dimension, and shed light on certain aspects of this correspondence.
