The front cover is a snapshot of the Fifth International Topical Conference on Optical Probes of Conjugated Polymers and Organic & Inorganic Nanostructures held in the charming surroundings of Venice. The San Giorgio view in the dry paint etching by Francesco Sciaccaluga represents the artistic feeling of the town. The scientific topics discussed at the conference are represented by the photonic balls (by Gi-Ra Yi and coworkers), the rainbow colored flasks containing luminescent CDTe nanocrystals of different size (by Andrey Rogach, photo by F.M.
