2010 GRASP Activities - Tuesday June 15 & 22

Tuesday was Biathlon day, so Dr. Nancy Santagata taught the girls about the physics of swimming and bicycle riding.
After the presentation, the campers paticipated in various stations, one of which was to take apart a bicycle to better understand how it works.
The gyroscope station, designed to demonstrate the conservation of angular momentum.
The GRASP participants enjoyed learning about swimming skills and playing in the swimming pool at the OSU RPAC.
The girls experimented with a non-Newtonian liquid, which acts like both a solid and liquid.
