Physics Academic Achievement Scholarship: The Physics Academic Achievement Scholarship provides a four (4) year, in-state tuition scholarship to incoming freshmen Physics and Engineering Physics students. The selection process is competitive. Applications are evaluated by a committee of OSU physics faculty members. This scholarship is possible due to the generosity of: Michael Valentino and Family, Alva and Clara Smith, Jack C and Charlotte D.Smith, Robert Smith and family, and Hazel Brown. Grilly Summer Research Scholarship: The Grilly Summer Research Scholarship provides funds to support undergraduate physics and engineering physics majors pursuing research opportunities with OSU physics faculty. These scholarships are awarded through a competitive application process held in the spring. This scholarship is possible due to the generosity of Dr. Edward Grilly. Tom and Bunny Clark Scholarship: The Tom and Bunny Clark Scholarship promotes and recognizes high standards and achievement in scholarship among female undergraduate physics and engineering physics majors. Students are selected for this award by a committee of physics faculty and staff.

The Ohio State University Presidential Scholarship:Established in 1991, the Presidential Scholarship awards full in-state tuition, room and board, book allowance and miscellaneous expenses via a competitive application basis.Details can be found at http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/HOSA/presidential.aspx

National Merit Scholarship: The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. Details about these scholarships can be found at http://www.nationalmerit.org/nmsp.php

NSF Graduate Fellowship: The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program provides students with three years of funding for research-focused master's and PhD degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics fields. Students graduating from physics or engineering physics programs apply for this fellowship to facilitate graduate school education. Rhodes Fellowship:The Rhodes Fellowship is a nationally competitive fellowship awarded to outstanding scholars from throughout the United States. The fellowship provides the opportunity for graduate study at Oxford University. This prestigious award is granted annually to 32 scholars from throughout the United States and only 80 scholars worldwide. Ohio Board of Regents Graduate Fellowship:The Ohio Board of Regents Fellowship provides financial assistance to students enrolling in a master's or Ph.D. program at a Ohio college or university. Details about this fellowship can be found at: http://regents.ohio.gov/sgs/fellowship/

Goldwater Scholarship: National scholarship established by Barry Goldwater to help promote excellence in science and math. Provides funds to juniors and sophomores who intend to pursue careers in the natural sciences, math or engineering. Details about this scholarship can be found at: http://www.act.org/goldwater/

Undergraduate Research Scholarship:Candidates for graduation with distinction are eligible to apply for the Colleges of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Scholarships. Senior Alumni Award This award, established in 1988, recognizes an outstanding graduating senior Physics / Engineering Physics major. Students are nominated by members of the faculty for this award

Smith Senior Awards:This award recognizes high achievement among senior level undergraduate physics and engineering physics majors. Students are nominated by members of the faculty for this award The award is made possible through the generous donations of Dr. DeMartini, Mr. Robert B. Smith Junior Awards: This award recognizes high achievement among junior level undergraduate physics and engineering physics majors. Students are nominated by members of the faculty for this award. Smith Sophomore Awards: This award recognizes high achievement among sophomore level undergraduate physics and engineering physics majors. Helen Cowan Book Awards: This award recognizes high achievement among freshmen level students who have completed the introductory physics sequence. Students are nominated by members of the faculty for this award.
