Irregular Patterns

Due date: 01/31.

Create two different multi-layer shaders.

  1. Each shader should use noise for both perturbing and bombing visual attributes.
  2. Noise, turbulence, and/or bombing should be used to modify feature colors, positions, size, shape, rotation, etc (as shown in the examples on the notes page.)
  3. Each shader should have at least two pattern layers in addition to the background.
  4. Use interesting parameters to control visual attributes of each shader - not just pattern frequency and colors.
  5. Render multiple 256x256 images of each shader, showing the parameter range. You may use square.rib, sphere.rib, your own rib file, or Maya and MTOR.

On your hw3 web page, show the rendered images demonstrating different parameter settings, show your shader code, and provide links to your shader files.
