Displacement and Illumination

Due date: 02/26.

Acquire a digital image of an interesting surface. Write and/or build a shader to simulate it as accurately as possible:

  1. The surface should require the use of multiple layered irregular displacement and color patterns.
  2. Different features should require different illumination attributes.
  3. Use parameters to control relevant visual attributes of the shader.
  4. Use appropriate lighting to feature the displacement.
  5. Render multiple 256x256 images of each shader, showing the parameter range.

On your hw5 web page, link or show your source digital image, the rendered images demonstrating different parameter settings, your shader code or networks.
