![]() This course provides a study of the mathematical models used in computer graphics to mimic the physical behavior of light in the generation of three-dimensional, computer-generated imagery. Topics include: Shader programming, procedural texturing, illumination models, global illumination, light/volume/image shaders, and real-time shading hardware/software. History: A different version of this course was previously taught in various forms by Steve May, Steve Spencer, and Matthew Lewis under the title "Digital Lighting". The aesthetic cinematic lighting portion of the course was migrated to ACCAD's Digital Cinematography 752 course. This 755 course is now devoted to procedural and other advanced lighting techniques. |
