TODAY we are going to have a guest lecturer for the last 45 minutes of class. I think we are going to switch to the bigger classroom next door for this, sometime around 11:15.

Some ways to think about individual technologies:
Technical Readiness Levels have popped up recently in meetings I’ve been having with faculty about what types of technologies should be considered when trying to anticipate and mitigate future problems.
Take some time to browse a few of these these and then we’ll come back and discuss them as technology systems:
Creating a system diagram can reveal resource needs:
Consider abstraction levels:
Choosing and/or identifying YOUR constraints:
In your groups, sketch a quick possible system diagram or two related to things you’re thinking about (or possibilities you can imagine.)
Just shapes, with words, connected by arrows.
Post of picture of your group’s diagram to today’s discussion thread (one per group).
Please also each individually post a list of the thing(s) YOU are hoping to learn about in this project, on today’s carmen discussion thread (just a few words / sentence).
i.e. the individual technology, design, and other interests YOU are interested in.
This will let the rest of us post some links for you if we see or think of anything that might be helpful over the next week.
