Electronic Abstract Submission (EAS)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPER ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

NOTE: These instructions are on page 2 of the symposium flyer.

(Paper abstracts will NOT be viewable on the web.) The abstract book will be printed directly from a computer file this year. All abstracts whether submitted electronically or on paper should have the style indicated below for uniform appearance in the abstract book. This appearance will be automatically created for abstracts submitted electronically but of course must be created by the author for paper abstracts. For the first time, abstracts will be laid out in portrait, not landscape, style and those on paper reproduced at a 1:1 scale, not reduced to 85% as in previous years. The appropriate layout can viewed in our paper flyer or through our sample abstract.

PLEASE NOTE: THE WIDTH OF THE ABSTRACT SHOULD BE NO MORE THAN 6.75 in (17.1cm) ACROSS and 4.25 in (10.8cm) LONG. USE A 10 POINT FONT. IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE

1.  If submitting by the traditional paper method, please send a total
    of three copies of each abstract, at least one of high quality for
    electronic reproduction. Note the change above in abstract
    dimensions from previous years and use a 10 point font.

2.  Underline the name of the person presenting the paper.  

3.  Remember to indicate in the comment line if the speaker is to be
    considered for the Rao Prize (see below for complete instructions).

4.  DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF ALL ABSTRACTS IS MARCH 1, 1997.

5.  For the time of your presentation, check the program, available
    about April 15 on our WWW site.
