New Postdoctoral Position in Single-Molecule DNA Repair and Chromatin Biophysics at the Ohio State University and the Ohio State University Medical CenterA cross-discipline postdoctoral position is open in the areas single-molecule DNA repair and chromatin biophysics. This position will enjoy a joint appointment in the Department of Molecular Virology, Immunology and Medical Genetics (MVIMG) within the OSU Medical Center as well as the Department of Physics within the OSU College of Mathematical and Physical Sciences. A qualified candidate will be expected to develop single-molecule force and total internal reflectance (TIRF) measures using human DNA repair components and chromatin substrates. The candidate will be jointly supervised by Dr. Richard Fishel (MVIMG) and Dr. Michael Poirier (Physics). Prior experience in the biochemical analysis of DNA metabolic proteins or the biophysical analysis of single molecules is required. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated researcher looking to transition between basic biophysics and medicine. Interested applicants should provide a one-page research statement, a CV (with a complete set of publications) and arrange for three letters of reference to Dr. Fishel (or Dr. Poirier) at:
