Syllabus: The course syllabus taken from the USP Janus system may be accessed here.

Registration and schedule: We will have three lectures, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (March 11, 13 and 15, respectively), from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., in the Jacy Monteiro auditorium. Registrations should be made with the CPG office on Monday or Tuesday.

Main bibliography:

  • Terek I., Lymberopoulos A.; Introduction to Lorentz Geometry: Curves and Surfaces, SBM (Universitary Texts Collection, volume 21), 2018.
  • O'Neill, B., Semi-Riemannian Geometry with Applications to Relativity, Academic Press, 1983.

Observation: while preparing the lecture notes for this course, I've found a few typos and misprints on the main book. You may consult a brief errata in the support page we have created for the book. You are, of course, very welcome to let me know if you find anything else that should be fixed (either on the book or on the notes).
