28-Feb-2005 --- DDE ASSIGNMENT: Homeland Security. Two class groups, split alphabetically (Group 1 up to and including Henderhan, Group 2 everyone else). Due Tuesday Mar. 8. Prepare a briefing statement regarding the size of a fission bomb detonated by a ``Axis of Evil'' member. The only data you have is that it was a 20 kTon explosion and that analysis indicates radioactive debris consistent with the decay chain of Uranium. Could such a device be transported into the US via commercial airline baggage? The most convincing briefing receives an A.
